The "Ethics of Care" is a new approach to ethics that prioritizes attention to the other and caring relationships, and also focuses on moral sentiments such as empathy and shared concern. Given the need of today's society to promote caring relationships, responsibility, and solidarity, and considering the influence of the novel in promoting these human values, identifying and promoting novels that represent the ethics of care becomes important. In the present study, the selected novels of the Jalal Al-e-Ahmad Award were chosen for evaluation.In this investigation, after introducing the ethics of care, the socio-cultural indicators of the ethics of care were extracted based on the views of its theorists, namely Virginia Held and Daniel Engster. Subsequently, the selected novels were read and analyzed using thematic analysis from the perspective of the ethics of care. The research results indicate that out of the nine novels examined, only one novel (Autumn is the Last Season of the Year) represents the ethics of care; three other novels (Dokhtar-e Luti [The Luti Girl], In Khiyaban Sor'at-gir Nadarad [This Street Has No Speed Bump], and R H Sh) represent some components of the ethics of care, and the remaining five novels (Jadde-ye Jang [War Road], Malakān-e 'Azāb [Angels of Torment], Āh bā Shin, Lam Yazra' [Unplanted], and Bi-Ketābi [Booklessness]) do not represent the ethics of care.
