This paper compares the reference of "God" in Immanuel Kant’s Critique of Pure Reason and Ludwig Wittgenstein's Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus. On the one hand, Kant, in his knowledge system, believes that knowledge of God is impossible, but the idea of God as a transcendental idea, determines the aim to the absolute; on the other hand, Wittgenstein, shaping the relationship between form of language and form of the world, does not put God in the number of objects that fit the language, but God as a matter of showing and not saying is out of the world. These two perspectives, each in a different way, attempt to reinforce apophatic theology. With an overview of the philosophical systems of Kant and Wittgenstein In two previous books, in this paper, reference of god in both of them is studied. Then, similarities and differences of them will be compared and results of the similarities and differences will be noted.
