This article examines the connection between the Imaginal World (*ʿĀlam al-Mithāl*) and the faculty of imagination (*Quwwat al-Khayāl*) in the formation of artistic works from Suhrawardī’s perspective, focusing on the treatise "*Ghurbat al-Gharbiyyah*" (The Occidental Exile). The main research question is: How does the faculty of imagination, as an intermediary between the Imaginal World and the material world, facilitate the creation of artistic works? The research method is based on content analysis of library resources. Findings indicate that the artist, relying on the faculty of imagination, can transfer images and truths from the Imaginal World into tangible forms in the material world. In "*Ghurbat al-Gharbiyyah*", this process is depicted through literary symbols and allegories, each carrying profound epistemological and philosophical teachings. This study, while examining these symbols, highlights the central role of the Imaginal World as the origin of authentic art. Suhrawardī does not view art merely as a product of imagination but considers it a reflection of spiritual truths manifested through the artist’s faculty of imagination. This approach elevates art beyond mere aesthetics and introduces it as a tool for knowledge and the manifestation of wisdom (*ḥikmah*).
